Pappardelle with wild boar ragù
PrimiWide ribbons rolled this morning, slow-braised boar, a shaving of pecorino.

Forty seats,
Paolo Bellandi rolls the pasta before the sun is up. Giulia keeps the room, the wine and the welcome. Dinner from 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
Welcome to Trattoria Bellandi
Paolo and Giulia Bellandi cook the food Paolo grew up with in Tuscany. Pappardelle with wild boar ragù, cacio e pepe, lobster ravioli. The pasta is rolled and cut here every morning, and the menu is written around what the market has that day.
Giulia runs the dining room and the wine list, about sixty bottles, nearly all of them Italian. She will find you something that stands up to the boar.

Made this morning
The boar braises slowly with wine, juniper and rosemary. The ribbons are rolled and cut by hand here, then finished in the sauce with a little pecorino.
Ask Giulia what to drink with it.

Few ingredients, long braises, pasta made in the morning and never kept overnight. If a dish needs six things, he will find a way to do it with four.
Giulia is in the dining room most nights with the wine list and a good memory for who drinks what.
Paolo and Giulia

We came for the wild boar ragù and never got round to trying anything else.

Forty seats means you can hear each other across the table. The wine list is better than it needs to be.
Marcus T., Federal Hill

Giulia talked us into the tiramisu. We have not stopped talking about it since.
